It's Canberra!

Hellooooo guys! I thought I'll write in English this time :-D I do mistakes in English,  I do mistakes in Finnish and I do mistakes in my life. But that's the thing called life!! (Feeling so clever) I might continue writing in Finnish but I'll make English translation. There isn't that much to do and see in Canberra and it's quite small city! When you think that it's Australia's capital. Nice spot to visit anyway!

Welcome to Canberra!! So my hostmum drop me to YHA hostel and at first I thought it will be so boring, 5 nights in Canberra, hahaa. How can I survive? ;-) I met one really nice English girl at hostel and she just arrived from Melbourne. She met one guy at bus when she came to hostel and this guy was going to some comedy thing at Charlie Black bar. So random, so fun! But there were about 12 comedians and they all had 5 minutes time to tell good jokes! I didn't get all of them but laughed anyway, hahahhha. Before we went to this guy's (yes he has name too, David haha) comedy thing Flick and I went to have driiinkkss.

So Flick&I took the bus to get this Charlie Black bar. We found the place!! Yayy :-D They really had funny jokes!!

It's really fun to travel like this because for example at 1 o'clock you have no idea where you will end up!

Next morning I went to walking in the city and took some photos for you! This is Glebe Park!

Jump in! It's Christmas! Yep yep! Time is passing so quickly, is Christmas really coming so soon?!

The map of Canberra. Looks quite weird, doesn't it?! Between the city is a big lake. We were just walking around the city with Flick, Irish girl and two Canadians (their home language is French!) How I always meet these French speaking Canadians :-D Don't know! Big mystery!! (Not really)

So the first thing what we did today was going to War Memorial Museum. We had guided tour and it was INTERESTING!!! I was taking photos most of the time but here the best shots juuust for you again.

There it's! You can see it! It all looked very pretty.

The wall of died soldiers. And it continued. And continued. I think it's so sad because I don't think wars are the right thing ever. There must be better solutions than fighting. Just so stupid&silly. Innocent people, brave souls. I can just admire how brave they have been. They hadn't many choices tho. I'm so happy&thankful I can live my life without fears and in peace. It's so different to live this century than last ones. At least we don't have so many wars anymore. I hope someday we all can live amicably!!

They really didn't use camels that often, only in special cases. Horses were much more popular. I just wanted to take photo of this cos it looks quite weird :-D I love camels!!

Looks quite cozy for me :-D but I guess it wasn't!

Reikiintyny kumivene. I feel like writing in Finnish again cos I don't know the right word for this boat :-D

I saw black swans as well! I haven't ever seen them so close so I was really excited. They look quite scary tho! I have been thinking that we have white swans in Finland but do black swans exist in there? I haven't ever seen. And I heard that there isn't many white swans in Australia. Interesting but why?!

Swans just look so impressive! But our next destination was... Parliament House ! I wasn't that interested about it cos I'm not that interested about politics and stuff. But here isn't much things to see so in the end I was quite interested about it haha.

Yeah I must admit it looked quite nice! :-D And now I'm glad that I didn't miss it &I had fun with my new international friends! Our next destination was National Gallery where I civilize myself looking at for example Pablo Picasso and Monet's paintings. There was a big ( I mean huuuge) room full of aboriginal art which was very interesting too. Camera wasn't allowed inside (Silja.. :-D... This time I didn't do my secret photographing) SO here few photos outside!

Then we head back to the hostel and while walking we found Einstein Sculpture! There was some kind of science museum or however, my book (Lonely Planet) didn't recommend it so we weren't interested hahha. I don't know if it was for children... but anyway!

Imagination is more important than knowledge - I couldn't agree more!!! Einstein was a very clever guy! (In case you didn't already know haha)

I stayed 2 nights at hostel and now I'm couchsurfing! A really nice girl named Sophie is hosting me 3 nights (actually 2 nights left) and it's been all GREAT!!! It's my first couchsurf experience and so far I can totally recommend to try! This is a half hippie place (:-D) and last night the girl from Argentina (already forgot her name.. what can I do for my name memory??) was playing guitar for us. And the most funny thing!! Sophie's housemate is half Finnish!! His mummy is from Finland but he can't speak Finnish anymore. He said that he used to speak and understand it quite well but not anymore. Only word which he could remember was ROSKAPÖNTTÖ (rubbish bin) haha. He hasn't been to Finland in many many years and hasn't been in contact with his grandparents anymore. Interesting, isn't it!

It's Saturday now and I have 2 days left in here, I have already seen almost everything what you can see in Canberra so... really waiting to head in Northern Territory!! Love you <3

PS.

I noticed that my blog have had viewers from 10 different countries! I thought it was quite surprising & exciting & weird because I just thought that my parents & friends are reading my blog :-D
